How does school social work take place?
School social work is an integral part of the overall school concept. It is a learning and practice area with the aim of intercepting and containing conflicts and stressful situations. School social work at the Mierendorff School offers advice, support and assistance in finding solutions. The services are for parents (legal guardians) and pupils. They take place unbureaucratically and in an atmosphere of trust and are free of charge.

- Support with the child’s individual problems
- Identifying and recognizing your own resources
- Joint development of solution strategies
- Developing realistic, adequate solutions for behavioral and developmental problems
- Mediation and support for further assistance
- On request, participation in discussions with school management, teachers or educators

We are there for children, parents, guardians and educational staff and will be happy to advise you confidentially if you have any questions about school or personal issues, ideas, conflicts or problems. We can be contacted by telephone or email.
