Registration for school meals

Guide to digital registration with the caterer 40seconds Kids for your child’s school meals

Dear parents,

Why is it necessary to order for all children?
The state of Berlin has contractually obliged all caterers to equip every school with a digital ordering and billing system. From November 2024, a menu must be selected and ordered digitally for all children on a daily basis. Only when a menu has actually been ordered can the food be collected and consumed by the child. This means

No order means no food for your child

To do this, all children must be registered once in the digital portal and the food must be ordered regularly for all desired days.

Only on hiking days or on school trips is an order still placed by the school.

The most important points at a glance:

  • Meals are still free of charge for all children
  • Collective orders are no longer possible
  • Each day must be ordered individually
  • All children must order or cancel a menu by 18:00 the day before at the latest
  • For Monday by 18:00 on the Friday before at the latest.
  • If no order has been placed, there will unfortunately be no food
  • After registration and confirmation of the child, the current menu can be viewed and the desired menu can be ordered directly.
  • Special food orders must be registered separately.
  • The medical special diet certificate must be sent to sonderkost@40seconds.de.

Registration

You can register on our digital registration portal at:

https://schulessen1.40seconds-kids.de

  1. Click on “Registration for catering”
  2. Enter the individual “school code” 04G0892
  3. Enter the personal data of your child and then the data of the “person with custody”
  4. Read and confirm the “General Terms and Conditions”
  5. Read and confirm the “Privacy Policy”
  6. Read and confirm the “Lunch agreement”
  7. Click on “Complete registration”

You will then receive an e-mail with your personal login details:

  • User name: XXXXX
  • One-time password: YYYYY
  1. Register at https://schulessen1.40seconds-kids.de
  2. Enter user name and password
  3. Change the password and save it

You will receive your individual QR code by e-mail. Please print this out and give it to your child. By presenting the QR code at the school’s food counter, your child will receive their customer card.

Please remember to order the food for your child for each day! The order must be placed by 18:00 the day before at the latest.
