Offers for parents

Here are some points that are important for parents and guardians.

School letters

Actively help shape the school!

Have you ever wondered how you can get involved? Maybe these pages will give you some good ideas!

Become a parent representative

The joint responsibility of parents and school for the upbringing and education of pupils requires trusting cooperation. Parent representatives are elected in each class (at least two). The parent representatives represent the parents’ interests vis-à-vis the school and mediate between parents and teachers. They can of course also help to organize class parties etc. The parent representatives also form the school’s parent council (GEV), which meets four times a school year.

Your parent representative Mr. Rupp will be happy to help. His representative Mr. Rakowsky is also available to answer questions and will be happy to introduce you to the office if you are interested.

Parents Online Community

The Mierie Parent Community is a place where parents can exchange ideas and information about topics at school. Parents’ initiatives on topics such as school safety or media education can exchange ideas and organize themselves here.

Join the association

In addition to the parent representatives and their committees, the “Förderverein Mierie e.V.” is the heart of parent work at the Mierendorff School. Many projects, such as our library, would not have been possible without the support and funding of the Friends’ Association.

Every contribution counts and helps us to improve the education of our pupils together. Membership of the Friends’ Association is a good way of actively participating in the development of the school and supporting the interests of the pupils. Our members receive regular information about the activities of the Friends’ Association and can also contribute their own ideas and suggestions.

We are looking for active and passive members. Anyone who would like to get actively involved can contact us directly (e.g. the chairman Niclas Rakowsky) or become a member of the association online.

If you have any further questions, please contact our office.
